The name CARTERA comes from the Spanish word for a small purse or wallet—a nod to my Spanish roots.

I became a designer later in life, after starting a family and realizing that to surround myself with beauty, I had to create it myself. What began as a simple desire to make something by hand evolved into a passion for design, craftsmanship, and timeless style. In my small studio in Sunnyvale, CA, I design and handcraft leather handbags that balance elegance, function, and longevity.

Over the past decade, CARTERA has grown organically — now serving clients worldwide through online sales, art shows, and local festivals. Each piece reflects my philosophy: quality over quantity, beauty in simplicity, and materials that only get better with time.
