A Little Escape to Moab & Bryce Canyon 🍂❤️
After seven art festivals in a row, I really needed a little break!
So off we went to Moab and Bryce Canyon, Utah!
We got a really cool rental car, and the adventure began! What can I say? The views were absolutely breathtaking! The colors, the mountains, the rocks, the fresh, crisp air… just beautiful! Sometimes I simply wanted to stop the car, get out, and take it all in.
We had some rain along the way, and of course, there were flash flood warnings. A little excitement is always part of an adventure! Luckily, we were exploring higher areas, away from the places at risk of flooding.
One of my favorite things when traveling is meeting people. I love asking strangers where they're from and hearing a little about their lives. We met some lovely people from Alaska, where winter had already arrived, and snow was falling. And then we met a family who spends six months in Oregon and the other six months in Florida. Not a bad way to live, right? 😊
In Moab, I kept seeing Kokopelli everywhere! In shops, on walls, in artwork… everywhere! I learned that Kokopelli is traditionally associated with fertility and abundance, and often with good fortune. I loved the little figure and the stories behind it.
And you know me, I can't visit a beautiful place without finding something special to bring home! I fell in love with a gorgeous autumn artwork by American artist Houston Llew. The colors were so warm and beautiful; I just couldn't leave it behind!
We ate delicious food, enjoyed every little stop along the way, and spent time just looking around and appreciating how beautiful nature can be.
But the best part? No packing bags for a festival, no setting up my booth, no rushing in the morning, and no taking everything down at the end of the day! Just us, the open road, and time to enjoy.
After seven festivals back-to-back, I think I earned this little vacation! 😊
I came home rested, happy, and with so many beautiful colors and memories in my head.
Now, back to my leather bags… until the next adventure! ❤️
With love,
Galit
